This is Votivo’s best seller for a reason. It works almost anywhere and almost any time of year. Kitchen in September. Living room in December. Windows open in May. It belongs everywhere — even a chic spa lobby.
Top Notes: Earthy Green, Galbanum, Tart Citrus
Middle Notes: Cassis, Tropical Fruit
Base Notes: Fruity Musk
Also: excellent gift candle.
You can bring this to someone’s house without conducting a full investigation into their fragrance preferences first. Hostess gift. Housewarming. Birthday. Thank you. Add wine, flowers or nothing at all.
Kitchen, living room, entryway, guest room, beach house.
Especially the kitchen.
This is the one I’d light after dinner when the dishes are done, the counters are wiped down and everyone has finally gone home. TG! Haha.
Another thing you’ll notice about the candles I sell: I don’t want the scent name screaming at you from across the room. No giant RED CURRANT. No enormous logo competing with your backsplash, your books, your art, your life. You have an eye. Your home has a point of view. To me, candles should blend into the beauty of the room you created and let the scent do the talking. We know it’s a candle. We don’t need a billboard explaining it to us.
Votivo uses its proprietary soy-blend wax with paper and cotton wicks, which I’m a fan of. Soy is all I burn at the studio. Keep the wick trimmed to about ¼ inch and give it a good first burn so the wax melts evenly across the top.
