Votivo Pink Mimosa is heady, pretty, fruity, slightly musky and floral. It opens with mandarin and strawberry, then gets lush with gardenia, honeysuckle and mimosa. Vanilla rum, sandalwood and musk underneath give it a posh warmth and depth.
It smells girly. Expensive. A little flirty. Like flowers on the counter, good perfume in the bathroom, fresh sheets on the bed and something bubbly already open.

Pink Mimosa has presence. The florals are lush, the strawberry gives it this juicy little sweetness, and the sandalwood and musk make the whole thing feel warmer and more grown-up. It’s feminine without being delicate.
Another thing you’ll notice about the candles I sell: I don’t want the scent name screaming at you from across the room. No giant PINK MIMOSA. No enormous logo competing with your backsplash, your books, your art, your life. You have an eye!! Your home has a point of view!! To me, candles should blend into the beauty of the room you created and let the scent do the talking. We know it’s a candle. We don’t need a billboard explaining it to us.
Votivo uses its proprietary soy-blend wax with paper and cotton wicks, which I’m a fan of. Soy is all I burn at the studio. Keep the wick trimmed to about ¼ inch and let the wax melt all the way to the edges when you burn it — especially the first time.
And honestly, this might be the perfect gift candle.
