This Bedrock Tree Farm Candle brings a little bit out the great outdoors inside with the fragrant, woody scent of fresh juniper berries that grow wild all over the Bedrock Tree Christmas Farm. If you have ever walked by a juniper tree when the berries are ripe, you know what this candle smells like. It has the aroma of many rich specialties (like gin) with the classic Bedrock fresh fir twist. Ooh-la-la! It's like your Cape Cod summer meets classic Holiday. Like all Bedrock Candles, this Libbey Status is made with their fir needle powder, pure essential oils, and a naturally derived fragrance. Needles are trimmed from Bedrock trees' sheared branches to create the totally authentic, 100% Non-GMO, clean-burning candles. The crackling, wood wick is reminiscent of the sound a cozy little fire makes. Hello, charming New England moment! 

Bedrock Tree Farm fir needle products were developed out of their desire to find a use for the endless fir needle branches that are sheared to the ground and left to turn to mulch. They felt such incredibly healthy, succulent needles could be recycled and used for our benefit and enjoyment year round. I discovered their candles in a record and crystal shop on Cape when I moved here in 2014 and fell in love with them. 

Remember: never leave a candle unattended.

When you light a Bedrock Tree Farm wooden wick, always use a lighter (not a match) and hold the flame at the base of the wick to get the wax started melting around the wood. ALWAYS let candle burn long enough to get a pool of melted wax across the surface of the entire candle (approx. 1 hour). You should achieve this with every burn for best results and to avoid tunneling (common waste of wax).

Before the next lighting gently scrape the top ridge of the wick with a wick dipper or non-flammable tool to remove the charred wood. In
some cases if the flame isn’t vigorous enough for you, remove a small amount of wax to allow more wood to be exposed and you will get that bigger flame.

After each burn, you can wrap a damp paper towel around a tool and wipe the inside of the jar clean for a clear view of the next burn.
