These are are premium organic oils, locally-harvested salt and 100% natural, mineral rich clays. Our oil supplier is committed to sourcing sustainable, certified organic oils without the use of pesticides. Our salts and clays are solar evaporated and solar dried (respectively) without synthetic chemical processing, additives or anti-caking agents.

Cape Saltie's original, natural fragrances (which are offered in standalone Blended Essential Oils or as the fragrance for our bath & body products) are perfumer-formulated from natural aromatics as defined by IFRA. The ingredients used in natural fragrances can be essential oils, oleoresins, distillates, fractions, concretes and absolutes.

Blue Tansy Essential Oil
Origin: Morocco
Aromatic Profile: Highly aromatic, warm, bitter-green, yet sweet herbaceous aroma with softly penetrating camphor top notes; has a warm, herbaceous drydown.
Blend Notes: Sweet Blue Tansy gives Vacationer its pretty bohemian marine blue color.
Peppermint, Organic.
Origin: France
Aromatic Profile: Highly aromatic, warm, bitter-green, yet sweet herbaceous aroma with softly penetrating camphor top notes; has a warm, woody-herbaceous drydown.
Blend Notes: Peppermint smells like candy canes and spearmint smells like gum.
Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil, Organic + Star Anise Essential Oil
Origin: Sri Lanka, India
Aromatic Profile: Cinnamon Bark is spicy and sweet with a persistent dry warmth and powdery drydown. Anise has a licorice-like aroma and a balsamic-woody undertone.
Blend Notes: Clients often comment on the licorice-like note; it's not for everyone!
High Elevation Lavender Essential Oil
Origin: France
Aromatic Profile: One of the finest Lavender essential oils offered by our supplier. It is refined, herbaceous, and green-floral with a subtle sweet, warm undertone.
Blend Notes: Nightswimming has 5 different lavenders. High Elevation is my favorite.
Seaweed Absolute
Origin: France
Aromatic Profile: Oceanic, green-herbaceous, dry-woody/phenolic aroma with soft leather undertones and the true scent of exposed seaweed at the ocean’s shore.
Blend Notes: Just a micro-smidge is used to give Nightswimming its unique, salty kick.
Distilled Lime Essential Oil
Origin: Mexico
Aromatic Profile: Our Distilled Lime is bright, fresh, mouth-watering and zesty. It has a tart pop to it that makes it a truly an exquisite citrus.
Blend Notes: One of my favorite ingredients. We store in the fridge for peak freshness.
Vanilla
Origin: Death Valley, CA
Aromatic Profile: Highly aromatic, warm, bitter-green, yet sweet herbaceous aroma with softly penetrating camphor top notes; has a warm, woody-herbaceous drydown.
Patchouli, Light - Essential Oil
Origin: Indonesia
Aromatic Profile: Earthy, wet, musky and sweet-herbaceous with a light and clear aroma. Our distributor says it's a more ‘free-spirited’ version of classic, dark Patchouli.
Blend Notes: The variety is richly reminiscent of a cheerful, little bush herb I enjoy.
Wild Harvested Palo Santo
Origin: Ecuador
Aromatic Profile: Reminiscent of Frankincense, our choice Palo Santo is a grounding, woody, penetrating aroma with soft spice nuances and a smoky spirit.
Blend Notes: I also use Palo Santo for smudging; to clear my space of negative energy.
100% Natural Calcium Bentonite Clay
Origin: Egypt
Aromatic Profile: There are many varieties of Geranium. Our Essential Oil variety is a penetrating, leafy green/herbaceous floral. Exquisitely aromatic, soft yet full bodied.
Blend Notes: Egyptian Geranium is not your garden-variety Geranium; it's much headier!
